Colourful spectacle

Whoever loves flowers can feast their eyes at the Holland Flowers Festival, which will be held in Zwaagdijk East, from Wednesday 24 to Sunday 28 February 2010. Each year, this colourful spectacle marks the beginning of spring with a magnificent display of flowering bulb flowers. This is a feast of colours and scents which, together with the adjacent fairs, are a guarantee for a lovely day out.

Volendam Spring
The 2010 Holland Flowers Festival is sure to give you that ultimate Holland feeling. Through the ‘Volendam Spring' theme, exhibitors show the most colourful side of the Netherlands. The flower garden breathes the atmosphere of the popular fishing village with corresponding typical Volendam music, wooden shoes and traditional dress. Here visitors can admire the compositions of dozens of growers and horticulturists, who have transformed the more than 4,500 square meters into a spectacular show. Under the supervision of landscape architect Robert Broekema, they show their talents with numerous sample gardens, forming a source of inspiration for the design of private and individual gardens.
Consumer fair
At the consumer fair you will find a wide range of contemporary products for in and around the house. This is a great place for some serious browsing. Allow yourself to be inspired with ideas for your home and garden, purchase special products, find original gifts or gain advice from experts. At the 2010 Holland Flowers Festival you will experience the ultimate spring excitement, including your children. The Festival, with flowering bulb flowers, traditional dress and modern lifestyle products, forms both a fun and educational experience!
Business fair

The business fair is inextricably linked to the Holland Flowers Festival. This is a fair with a pleasant ambiance for conducting business, initiating new contacts and where fellow traders are given the opportunity to promote themselves among colleagues, importers, exporters and affiliated companies. This is an international meeting point in bulb cultivation, providing you with ample opportunity to inform yourself on the latest developments in the professional field.

The costs of this unique event have been deliberately kept low in order to allow a maximum number of people to enjoy the flowering bulbs and the atmosphere of the pleasant ‘Volendam Spring’. This is an attractive spectacle for which West Friesland is renowned. Tickets are € 12.50 per person, with discounts available online. Children and families can receive further discounts. Holland Flowers Festival is open from Wednesday 24 to Sunday 28 February, from 10am to 6pm. On Friday evening the festival will be open until 9.30pm. Interested?
